Thats roight! Kryptic (thats K and me) will be doing the 1Loud Street Music Festival which will be our FIRST live performance TOGETHER on December 7th 2008 at Toads Place. This show will be a LANDMARK show in so many ways. It will be the first show me n K have ever done, together. It will be the first time the whole W.I.N.E. Team will be in one place at one time, as Rebecca Rouge will be flying in from France, trusty video cam in hand, to document the times before, during and after the show so we can make a DVD and possibly include it on the internationally distributed cd. The show is freaking HUGE, with a huge budget and all around madness. Two floors of music, two stages. We have a 45 minute set that starts at 6:45 and ends at 7:30. The significance of this show has not excaped the organizers as they are in disbelief and amazement that Kryptic and I could go so long (3 albums and a vid) and not be in the same country or even met. They are making a pretty big deal out of that. The promotion budget these guys have is like...insane? Even the tickets are nice looking. $10 dollars for the tix. Winter In New England Music Limited is PROUD to announce that we have secured worldwide distribution for all of our products. This includes all media, cd's to digital downloads to ringtones to videos. The deal, which took 3 days to negotiate and 2 years to even GET is with S.W.I. NFP, a Sony/EMI owned company with offices in America, Singapore, France, Australia and Asia. Products will be distributed to: Liquid Audio, Wal-Mart, Virgin, Starbucks, SONY Connect, iTunes, Yahoo! Music, MSN, Music Choice, HMV, and all major digital media and wireless distributors. In addition, W.I.N.E. Music will be distributed to Allied Entertainment Corp, which is the worlds leading music catalog distributor who services FYE, Wherehouse, Tower Records, Sam Goody and Best Buy. Other worldwide locations include several Asian Nations: Japan, Singapore, Malayasia, Thailand, India and Indonesia. All locations in the USA, Europe, Africa and Oceania. All univeral locations that sell music and video. Our videos, which will shot be Rebecca Rouge exclusively I believe, will be distributed to MTV, Bet.com, FYE, Amazon.com, VH1, CDNOW, and Music Boulevard. The workings of this deal: This is a 3 album contract. As a full functioning label, we have retained our copyrights and publishing. All music published via our Winter In New England Music Publishing arm. (ASCAP). This deal affords us unlimited cd manufacturing as Sony owns their own plant! It also gives us a budget for promotion. We have so many promo options that I just dont feel like listing them here. To put it simply, whatever promo options your fave artist has, we now have. We also have access to tour support and logistics and merchandising. On a major scale. This is not a joint venture deal at all. Contracturally this is a distribution deal for W.I.N.E. Music. This distributor is working with us even though we dont have a SoundScan history and that is a risky venture for them. It is risky for us as well because we have literally thousands of dollars tied up into this, both present and future, but we are confident that with this network of all star heavy hitters on our side, its well worth it! The distributor was willing to do this strictly because of hard behind the scenes work. Their A&R was impressed that "Purify" has just finished a succesful 13 week radio spot worldwide, our fans are pretty much loyal to us and mostly the fact that we are high on industry chart positions on websites that matter is KEY. The really did their research and were thankful for that. Its really easy to see the success that Kryptic and W.I.N.E. are enjoying all over the place and the buzz is building. We have gotten over 4,000 spins on the Amp Network alone in the past 2 weeks. Ok, now what happens from here: People MUST know that this doesnt change things at the snap of a finger! It changes things for US at W.I.N.E., but the public will not see any change in our operations just yet. We have alot of logistical work to do now because Kryptic will be flying back and forth across the ocean re-recording tracks with us here at the W.I.N.E. Music Studios, as well as working out the stage show. This is going to take some time because we have alot of tracks! And working out a complete concert performance takes time too. Trust, Ive done this dozens of times. Promotion is the most important thing of all. We have Street Teams on 2 continents. Wow lol. Its like Im just realizing that. Anyways, we will start with them first. Planning out strategy for that. We are looking for a serious publisist. Dare I say cost doesnt matter? No! But this publisist needs to be based in Europe and national because Europe is where its at. In the blog right before this one, I mentioned knowing your fans. Well we know ours and we will be taking the show to them. We are also looking for a serious booking agent based in Britain. When its all said and done, we will be booking at least three weeks on our own, hopefully with a few of our affiliate artists who agreed with last years tour and hopefully later getting on with someone already on the road (Hello M.I.A??? Natasha Bedingfield??? LOL). I feel like Hendrix for sure, having to leave my own country to make it. But unlike Hendrix, I am not dissapointed at all. I am not too blind or ignorant to the fact that consumers are worldwide. We take Euros and Pounds too. As a matter of fact, we welcome them. They convert rather nicely. There is alot of work to do right now. But this is all I ever wanted since I was 15 years old and now we have it. I will not let this fail. You gotta believe a bruv on this. I wanna thank all the true believers for sticking with us and just rolling with this family. Your names are unknown to us now, there was a time when we knew all the people that loved us, and that shows growth. We are thankful for the love and support we receive in Germany especially because they are the HARDEST critics. When you make genre bending tracks like we do, its hard to swallow sometimes but we have struck a chord with the people of not only Germany but apparently many places in Eastern Europe and all throughout the Russian Federation. Its so humbling to know that many of you are driving to work or jogging or just kickin it at home with Kryptic on the mp3 player. France, Italy and Spain check in as well. I am NOT sleeping on the love we have gotten from the USA! On some of our foreign portals, we see the major USA hits and downloads of our songs. We see you maaaaan. But we wont tour here on our own LOL. We'd have to jump on someones tour for that! Ahh we will see. And to the people that STILL think we cant do this...yall obviously arent in our fan profile LAWL. Kryptic in conjunction with CMJ will launch a 13 week radio blitz across America starting next week with our single "Purify". There are 5500 stations, commercial, non commercial, college and internet with listening ranges between 2.5 million and down. We hope to have more ADDS than DROPS! |
