Having been described as one of the most interesting local bands on the scene at the moment, the New Rock Chemists splice indie guitars with electro synth sounds along with lyrics that the man/woman on the street can relate to. Formed at the end of 2004 the Chemists were originally a three piece act. After a few line-up changes they are now a four piece with the three original members, Mark Hutchison, Paul Hutchison and Craig Morris hailing from Ballingry, and Joe Coyle from Dunfermline. The Chemists played their first gig in May 2006 and since then have played all over Fife, having had some memorable nights along the way. As well as still playing their gigs in Fife, they are also hoping to expand further a field. We are always up for a gig, so if you want us to play just drop us a line.
